Hello! Wow, I’ve had a whirlwind month! I’ve been ill, trying to stitch like crazy and plan some markets for the year. With a new (double) design up on Patreon I have been trying to juggle having this extra monthly task and working on the launch stitches I have planned for early this year, and let's just say getting the flu messed up a couple of weeks plan for me!!

Firstly, the Patreon patterns for this month are charming and I was inspired by lacework but knew I wanted to include some hearts as it was for February. I started by thinking about what could be an alternative to a cheesy Valentine’s stitch, and that everyone loves their pet so I settled on a dog or cat design, but knew that the camp on these is very divided so designed both! Maybe that’s what tipped me over the edge when I got the flu and then got very behind on my stitching!

I’ve been feeling a little behind on my stitching for my next launch patterns, so this weekend is going to be a stitching bonanza for me! But that said, I am really enjoying it as this one is a little different to what I have done previously and is challenging me to become a better pattern designer.

Something else that has been making me feel proud of myself is that whilst doing research on how other cross stitch kits are packaged I stumbled across an article on gathered.com for ‘25 of the best modern cross stitch kits 2024’ and my Love Yourself kit is at number 7!! It was such a proud moment and I was at my 9-5 job and had to suppress a squeal of excitement! Here’s hoping for more little moments like that!

There is only one market that I have booked so far for 2024, which is the Easter Makers Market at the Shoreham Centre in Shoreham-By-Sea on the 30th March, so come by and see me if you are in the area! I have a couple of others I am thinking about so will announce them as I book them!

Looking forward to Spring and maybe some al fresco stitching!
