Blog #01

Hello, and welcome to my first blog! I hope to write these monthly and let you all know what I’ve been designing, stitching and even doing outside of cross stitch!

Firstly I should introduce myself, I’m Georgia and live by the sea in the sunny South East of the UK. I created Pindependent Crafts soon after I fell in love with cross stitch and wanted to create my own designs. Every pattern I create is initially designed for myself and I kit it up and put it online in case there are like-minded people looking for just that! Pindependent Crafts fills my evenings and weekends as I also have a full-time job in e-commerce which pays the bills and keeps me fed!

I have been working on a few things this month, such as replenishing the Ghost kit twice as it was selling so well. It is such a cute cross stitch that is perfect for a quick Halloween project and I’m so happy others are enjoying it as much as me (I have stitched it 4 times!) and am already thinking of a new variation for next year.

September was a busy month and the main reason was that I did my first craft fair, it was such a lovely experience to meet everybody and the other stall holders were so nice, they even helped out when my card machine didn’t work. I have my second fair booked for 25th November so am in full preparation mode as I am thinking it might (hopefully) be a busy month with Christmas orders. I am churning out the Christmas cards as we speak, both stitched and ready to send and also kits to make your own cards.

I have also been planning what’s to come for Pindependent Crafts in the new year, which I am calling my ‘new leaf’ and am really excited to share with you!

Happy stitching and come see me at Brighton Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday 25th November at Brighton Friends Meeting House!
